In April of 2025, we inaugurated our bakery in Shigamani Village. It began with one shift, and now we have two shifts running, with plans to implement a third. Soon, our ovens will be baking 24 hours a day. We are currently producing over 900 loaves of bread per day, feeding the people of Shigamani and delivering to eight surrounding villages. Even more communities are now expressing interest in wholesale purchases.

Bread is a major part of the villagers’ daily diet. Before the bakery opened, residents had to travel 30 to 45 minutes to neighboring towns just to buy bread. There was no bakery within Shigamani, so the idea of having fresh bread available daily is truly meaningful to the community. At the same time, we are providing local jobs, reducing the need for people to seek employment outside the village.

Entrepreneurship is a mindset we are cultivating here, as businesses in this area are typically not run by individuals from the village. By empowering local people, we help them realize their potential and move toward self-sustainability.

Next Steps:

A Pick-Up Truck: $12,000

The bakery’s sales are growing fast, and an additional vehicle is needed to reach more villages and deliver bread early each morning. We want to purchase a good used truck, which will allow us to increase our delivery routes, helping even more families access daily bread and creating more jobs.

The New Building: $30,000

One key challenge is that the current facility is no longer large enough, so plans are already underway to build a larger space.

Your financial involvement will play a vital role in transforming the future of Shigamani Village.
